About

Sean Ling-Allen

Sean’s approach to Pilates training starts with the recognition that each person has a unique physical history and set of goals for how they wish to physically experience their future.

Using the Pilates Process® principles and repertoire as the basis for good movement and communication, Sean layers in the Franklin Method® work of anatomical knowledge with alignment and imagery to build the appropriate program for each client.

In addition to training clients, Sean is also a Pilates and movement educator. He trains instructors for Pilates Process® in Mat, Reformer, Cadillac and Chair.

He is a certified Franklin Method® Level 1

and Spin instructor.

Sean has had an extensive 25 year career as a professional dancer and has been a Pilates instructor for 18 years.

Early in his dance career, Sean ruptured his Achilles tendon, an injury that required six months recovery. Pilates was an integral part of his recovery, maintaining his physical strength and ability while his leg recovered, then as part of the therapeutic recovery of his leg.  This experience introduced Sean to the importance of good physical mechanics in training and recovery.
